Well, the moon has one more day in ARIES so we’ve got one more day of the Tension Moon (see original post) but the sun has moved from Virgo into Libra.

What are the characteristics of a Libra?

The people born under the Sign Libra are kind, gentle and lovers of beauty, harmony and peace. However, in their effort to keep everyone happy, they find it difficult to say ‘NO’ to anyone, and as a result, they end up getting stressed. They have a lot of positive traits, but some negative ones, too. People born under the Libra zodiac sign can often be seen as indecisive, but if you try and understand them more deeply, you’ll see that this is a false judgment. They simply like to weigh the best options for themselves and everyone else around them. When they do make decisions, you can be assured that these decisions will give the best results for all parties involved.

Librans are extremely diplomatic and fair, and they hate to see others be unhappy around them due to unequal circumstances – meaning sometimes they can come off as a people pleaser. It is not so much that they are doing this for selfish or manipulative reasons, but rather because they are seeking to create unity. Harmony and peace in all aspects of their life is important. Often seen as quite charming, Libra is a sign that will only be frustrated and unhappy if they think or feel that they haven’t been treated fairly.

Many Librans love physical exercise and tend to gravitate towards running and marathons. Meditation can be a great thing for Librans, as this helps create a space where they can make decisions and contemplate without interruptions. They will spend much of their time trying to establish an equilibrium between every part of themselves, and they will not be fully happy or fulfilled until they find and implement this balance.

Strengths can be: Cooperative, diplomatic, gracious, fair-minded, social

Weaknesses can be: Indecisive, avoids confrontations, will carry a grudge, self-pity

Libra likes: Harmony, gentleness, sharing with others, the outdoors

Libra dislikes: Violence, injustice, loudmouths, conformity
The Libra sign is represented by a symbol of the scales of justice. Those who fall under the Libra zodiac sign seek balance above all.

• Symbol: The Scales
• Duality: Active
• Element: Air
• Quality: Cardinal
• Ruling Planet: Venus
• Tarot Card: Justice

People born under the sign of Libra are peaceful, fair, and they hate being alone. Partnership is very important for them, as their mirror and someone giving them the ability to be the mirror themselves. These individuals are fascinated by balance and symmetry, they are in a constant chase for justice and equality, realizing through life that the only thing that should be truly important to themselves in their own inner core of personality. This is someone ready to do nearly anything to avoid conflict, keeping the peace whenever possible

The sign of Libra is an Air sign, set between Gemini and Aquarius, giving constant mental stimuli, strong intellect and a keen mind. They will be inspired by good books, insurmountable discussions and people who have a lot to say. Each Libra representative has to be careful when talking to other people, for when they are forced to decide about something that is coming their way, or to choose sides, they suddenly realize that they might be in the wrong place and surrounded by wrong people. No partner should make them forget that they have their own opinion.

Planet ruling the sign of Libra is Venus, making these people great lovers but also fond of expensive, material things. Their lives need to be enriched by music, art, and beautiful places they get a chance to visit.

The tense full moon in Aries takes place on the evening of September 24th at two degrees of the sign.  Some will experience this full moon like a punch to the gut because the sun, moon, Mercury and Saturn will form a tight Cardinal t-square.  The Cardinal signs prefer to be in control. There are three signs here; and they’re likely to all think they’re right.  Mars (Aries) + Saturn is also potentially cruel.  “Martial law” comes to mind. The cardinal signs start every season—Aries kicks off spring, Cancer starts summer, Libra begins fall and Capricorn is the first winter sign. Thus, they are the leaders and “idea people” of the zodiac. These signs prize originality and like to be first in everything they do.

Lines will be drawn and order will be enforced. This can occur in a society but also in a family or whenever within individual who decides to control themselves.

To further complicate things, Aries-ruler Mars is involved in a second T-square that includes Venus in Scorpio and Uranus in Taurus.  This makes the whole situation impossible to predict other than to say you should expect to meet up with boulders in your path, to block attacks or perhaps negotiate a compromise. If it’s the latter, it should and probably will be, iron-clad.

The Harvest Moon in Aries in might have you thinking it’s all about growth and abundance. In actuality not so much. That’s because full moons ask us to pause and reflect — not the sort of thing Aries typically enjoys.” As the first sign in the zodiac, Aries manifests as energy that wants to move forward all the time. But, if you fall under the spell of Aries, it’s going to be a rough harvest moon for you. “Just as the sun’s light makes the moon visible at this time, our own dark side might tend to show up in more obvious ways. For Aries, that can mean anger, aggression, and reckless or hotheaded behavior.

Back to life, back to reality: On Sunday, September 9, the year’s only Virgo new moon puts us in a “back to school” headspace.. Seeds planted at the potency of this earthy lunation can be harvested in six month’s time at the corresponding full moon in Virgo, which will arrive on February 19, 2019.

Summer vacation and summer fun is done !  Efficient Virgo is the ruler of health, organization, daily work, and acts of service. Under the Virgo new moon we could all get more serious about self-care. Preventative medicine is the best kind of all: eating fresh greens, exercising regularly and deploying stress-busting treatments like massage and acupuncture.

Ready to add some good stuff to your resume? Analytical Virgo is ruled by messenger planet Mercury, who is traveling alongside the Virgo Sun until September 21—and helping us all become more meticulous and methodical during this systematic cycle. Look for growth opportunities within your company or sign up for specialized training that can bump you to a new pay grade. Want to make a difference in the world—or at least your corner of it? Virgo is the sign of selfless service. Seek volunteer opportunities where you can earn your Earth Angel halo and wings. But whatever you do, make sure you have a solid plan in place for how to actually accomplish it!

The Virgo new moon reestablishes our connection to all things practical, sensible and stabilizing. Perfection-seeking Virgo is also one of the zodiac’s three earth signs, urging us to renew our connection to nature and indulge in a hit of hippie-chic.

Here are a few ways to manifest the potent lunar potential of the Virgo new moon:

1. Cut the chemicals.

Radiant Virgo loves things as clean, green and pure as humanly possible. Take a moment to read the labels on everything from the food you ingest to the products you slather on your skin, and even use to scrub down your home. While it may be impossible to eliminate chemicals from our modern lives completely, there’s at least one toxic product we could always swap out with something more earth-friendly. Swap sugar and artificial sweeteners for natural substitutes like raw honey. Liven up your skin with a toxin-free sheet mask made with ingredients like kelp, fruit extracts and bamboo.

2. Perform an act of selfless service.

Random acts of kindness are the Virgo way, leaving it as no surprise to us that Mother Teresa—the original “hugging saint”—was born under this zodiac sign. Wrap your head around the idea of helping someone without taking any credit for your good deed. You might perform an act of selfless service anonymously during the Virgo new moon: make a charity donation using your smartphone, pay for the person behind you in the latte line (and slip off before they can thank you), or ship a gift to a friend and request brown paper packaging rather than plastic or Styrofoam. Don’t ever underestimate the power of a small act of good karma, or try to convince yourself that you’re incapable of giving something bigger. Remember: what goes around, comes around.

3. Socialize with exercise.

Sacred self-care is the domain of Virgo, so this is the perfect time to hit the “Go!” button on a nutrition or fitness plan. Since chatty Virgo is also ruled by communicative Mercury, get your entourage involved in your health quest. Schedule a group exercise class together using an app that locates workout classes in your city. Instead of rallying friends for a boozy brunch (not that those aren’t fun every now and then!), you might go on a CrossFit and kombucha date. It’s a lot easier to stick to your guns and find pleasure in life-affirming pursuits when you have some of your BFFs along for the ride.

4. Simplify and purify.

Let’s face it, Virgo can sometimes get a bad rap: the stereotype that Virgos are pencil-pushing and protocol-enforcing tightwads. And while there may be a little truth to that, the zodiac’s Virgin is also a master of the power of seduction.

Let’s try a new and improved word for Virgo: The Purist. Virgo energy distills things down to their essence, pure and unfiltered. Virgo is green. Natural. Organic. Baby-faced. Unspoiled. Raw. A little bit closer to God. It’s earth-based spirituality, plant medicine, the magic found in natural law. So use this Virgo new moon as your annual opportunity to purify. Where has your life gotten overly complicated? Simplify it. Get back to the basics. Act naturally. Restore order. Prioritize. Strip away what doesn’t matter and make things sacred again.

5. Embrace a beginner’s mindset.

The Buddhist philosophy of “beginner’s mind” was made for over-analytical Virgo. The idea is to approach every person, experience and action as though it’s for the first time. That goes for your partner of 20 years, your job of 10 years, all the people and things you take for granted. (Do we detect a gratitude list coming on? Mercury-ruled Virgo evokes our tendency to talk, think and #obsess. Quiet the “monkey chatter” and being in the moment. It’s the antidote to Virgo’s overcritical and perfectionistic shadow side.

6. Add one new healthy habit to your daily regimen.

Bike to the market instead of driving, or find a trail (urban or woodsy) and go for a spin after a long day at the office. Buy yourself flowers as a ritual on Fridays. Wear shoes that actually support your feet and take a long solo stroll on a Sunday afternoon. Virgo rules the intestines and digestive system, which makes this new moon perfect for improving your gut health. Probiotics anyone? Or, improve your mental health by making sure you get an adequate amount of sleep each night (which for many of us is much harder than it sounds!). Feeling adventurous? Swig a collagen-boosting smoothie, a newer trend that will help you get glowing skin and healthy bones. They say it takes around three weeks to develop a steady new habit, so use the supercharged energy of the Virgo new moon to jumpstart your path toward well-being.

And if all else fails, try this…

7. Hold a newborn baby or a furry little creature.

If someone you know has a new baby, visit and hold the little guy or girl (and she’ll love you for it).

Care-taking Virgo is the sign that is associated with the nurturing of animals. Have you been considering adopting a furry, finned, or feathered critter? Pop by the rescue shelter or let those pleading eyes in the window lure you into the pet store for a snuggle. There’s a good chance you won’t be heading home alone.

Have you ever walked into a room and sensed the negativity or hostility of another person? Or have you ever felt angry at someone secretly, all the while acting like everything was ok?

Whenever we interact with others in the physical world, an invisible exchange of energy is taking place too. We may see a smile on the face of someone listening to us, but what is happening on an invisible level?

We all have an invisible dimension that we call spirit — an aspect I call “who we are beyond our skin.” We can’t see this part of ourselves, but together with body and mind, it makes up our whole being.

In our culture, we deny a part of our whole being by not acknowledging this invisible level of ourselves. Yet all the while we send and receive negative thoughts and energy like “poison arrows,” not realizing the harm we do to our entire being. Energy we send through our thoughts and feelings impacts both our physical and emotional health as well as the world around us.

That doesn’t mean we need to stop having negative feelings. It is our right as humans to have and express the range of feelings from joy and love to fear and anger…. It’s a part of what makes us feel alive.

At the same time, it is important for us to look at what kind of situations and interactions trigger us, and then to learn to manage our reactions, express our thoughts and feelings in a healthy way, and all at the same time, transform negative energy to positive energy. It’s not an easy task, but if we want to change the world we need to focus on changing ourselves.

Throughout time spiritual teachings have taught that our outer world is a reflection of our own inner state of consciousness. And no matter what outer negativity is being thrown your way, you have the power to start with yourself transform that energy to a positive outcome in the world. Here I’ve outlined 8 simple ways to transform negative energy.

8 Simple Practices to Transform Energy

1.  Breathe

Breathing is one of the simplest ways to transform energy. When you are in a state of reaction, your breathing becomes shallow. By breathing deeply, you naturally transform your reactive state.

2.  Set an Intention

When you feel upset, just say the following statement to yourself: “I need to express how I am feeling right now, and I ask that the energy of my feelings be transformed into love and light so I am feeding the world with love.”

3.  Think of a Precious Image

The energy behind your emotions goes out to all living beings. If confronted by someone who evokes strong emotions, think of a loved one and impose his or her image on the face of the person challenging you. For example, you might work with the face of a baby kitten, puppy, or your favorite flower. What thoughts do you want to send to those you love?

4.  Use the Power of Words

Spiritual traditions teach that words are vibration and the words we use affect our lives. As children many of us used the phrase “abracadabra.” This is actually an Aramaic phrase “Abraq ad habra” and means, “I will create as I speak.” Use words throughout the day which remind you of the energy of love.

5.  Be Grateful

Think about what you are grateful for. Being grateful always transforms your current state of consciousness.

6.  Project Strength

Don’t pity others whom you perceive as suffering — this only pushes them deeper into a hole. When you see people in their divine light and perfection you help give them the strength they need to deal with their troubles.

7.  Connect with Nature

Water can wash away your pain. As you wash, visualize negative energy flowing from you and being transformed into light. As you stand in the wind, imagine the wind carrying what needs to be released and being transformed into light. Light a candle and imagine the fire transmuting your intense feelings. Or you can bury your troubles in the earth with the intention that the energy be transformed to love.

8.  Surround Yourself in Light

If you feel someone is being energetically hostile toward you, imagine a protective light surrounding you. Some people think of being surrounded by white light. I imagine being enclosed in a translucent blue egg. Find a color that works for you.

September is a much better month than August.

Firstly, the eclipses are over. Hooray!

Secondly, if in August we had 6 planets retrograde, in September we are left with 2! Things are really getting better.

In September we also have a record number of positive aspects, including a grand earth trine on September 7.

Jupiter will also form a sextile to Pluto. Jupiter and Pluto are the most powerful planets of the zodiac, and are notoriously associated with wealth creation. Jupiter is in the sign of Pluto (Scorpio) so the two powerhouses really dig each other. September is indeed a good time for finances. But you need to be brave and do something different in your approach to finances. Remember, abundance is firstly a mindset, THEN a lifestyle. Now is your chance to do something about your financial future.

If you have personal planets and angles between 1-3° or between 14-19° in earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) September 2018 will be glorious!

But let’s have a look at the major astrological events of the month:

 September 6th, 2018

On September 6th, 2018 Saturn goes direct. The planet of discipline and tough love goes direct! With 6 planets retrograde in August (Saturn included) you probably had more than your share of tough love.

When retrograde, Saturn takes his time to make sure you learn his lessons. Everything happens very, veeery, veeeeery slllllowly. But when you’re done with Saturn’s lessons, you are DONE for good and those things won’t bother you again in the future.

September 6th comes with another good news: Mercury enters Virgo, the sign of its rulership. Mercury feels great in Virgo. Mercury is a very objective and flexible planet, and Virgo is all about analysis and paying attention to details. Virgo is also a mutable sign meaning it deals very well with change. Most importantly, Mercury rules the mind.

Mercury spent a lot of time in Leo, including 3 weeks of retrograde motion. If you’ve been stressed and oversensitive lately (Mercury in Leo is a bit dramatic, especially when retrograde), that will change now.

Your mind will just ‘know’ how to focus on what is relevant. You will find it easier to organize your thoughts and articulate them clearly. That’s also because Mercury travels right now with the speed of light: Mercury will spend only 16 days in Virgo!

September 6 until September 22 is the best time to work with sticky notes, make to-do lists, draw a mind map, make a timeline, and put together an action plan for the rest of the year. This is also a good time to start a mindfulness practice – Mercury is very perceptive in Virgo.
