On Wednesday, we’ll have a new moon in Leo, and then Mercury retrograde ends. This new moon comes in the sign the Mercury retrograde first started in, so it gives us the chance to look at what went on at the start of the retrograde that we may need to fix or revise or move forward with now. What problems arose? What got stuck? What went the wrong way? You can take the energy of the Leo new moon and work on making things start getting back on track now.

This is interesting energy coupled with the Mercury retrograde ending. We slow down drastically when a planet starts or ends a retrograde period, and so we may feel like we’re in a little bit of a holding pattern for right now. With Mercury in Cancer, this may be to safeguard us emotionally, and our feelings may be a little frayed, a little on the edge, and in need of some support and comfort in order to move forward with the positive new moon energy.

Together, this is a good time to focus on what it is you need for emotional security, and to get in tune with your heart. SO take a look at your natal Moon first and foremost, as your Moon shows what you need for emotional stability and security. What sign and house is your Moon located? How can you work to bring this into your life constantly? (daily preferably to help keep you even emotionally as much as possible)

If you have a really challenged natal Moon (like it’s anaretic or conjunct an outer planet), this is even more important for you. With the Mercury retrograde in Cancer, this can bring out a lot of emotional insecurities, challenges, and issues. So we all need to give our Moon more attention right now.

It’s easy to neglect your emotional needs, especially if you’re used to taking care of others and putting them first, or working too much and putting too much focus externally than internally. This can also make it easy to forget how to enjoy yourself, so the other position you should look at for this time right now is your 5th house. The 5th house shows what you enjoy, your hobbies, not just the people you love but the things you love to do as well. Try to carve out some time for a hobby or to do something that feeds your heart. Do it for yourself, not for others and not out of a sense of responsibility!

What sign is on your 5th house cusp, what planets are in your 5th house, and where is the ruler of your 5th house located? These are generally where you’ll find the most fun. If you have Saturn in the 5th house, an anaretic 5th house cusp or ruler, or intercepted 5th house planets or ruler, this may be more of a challenge for you, and you may be someone who doesn’t allow yourself to have much fun. But Leo is the sign of fun, so the Leo new moon wants exactly that! So the new moon can provide opportunity for you to get in touch with your inner playful side, even just a little. If the 5th house proves to be too difficult for now, then you may want to focus instead on the house location of the Leo new moon.

happy face

Ugh, finally, the relief we all need. The July eclipse cycle in Cancer and Capricorn was honestly exhausting for most of us. It was like swimming to shore and not being able to stop without drowning… in the middle of the night where you can’t see jack smack!!!

The sun is now shining, as it’s LEO season!!!. The New Moon taking place in 8°36′ Leo on July 31 is the start of a new energetic cycle for us all. It’s a time to just soak in the sunlight and radiate it to light up darker places. It’s less about finding a new direction as much as it is pursuing the path you’ve been contemplating for the past two year cycle.

The previous cycle in Leo/Aquarius was about creativity versus contribution, individuality versus community, and expression versus empathy. We experienced trials, tribulations, and also success through our attempts to contribute our individuality to others while practicing mindfulness. It prepared our inner strength to serve as a grounding force instead relying on our comfort zone—the place bounding us to our self-defeating behaviors.

It’s a time of breaking barriers and self-imposed limitations. The Cancer/Capricorn cycle is centered on authority versus agency, comfort zones versus destiny, and upbringing versus evolved self. We’re entering this new cycle with the ideal energy despite any challenging aspects.

We’ll likely feel more empowered to manifest our material wealth and success. This is an excellent time for channeling creativity and doing last minute check ups from retrograde maintenance. Our fruits are almost ripe. The challenging aspects are mostly centered on patience, resilience, and flow. However, your Sun and ascendant will largely determine the themes unfolding specifically for you.

Aries (March 21-April 19): Ain’t nobody got time for that… especially you.

The July eclipse cycle highlighted and shadowed your 10th house. It may have seemed like a light flickering on and off in your brain. One day you understood you initiative and were flooded with creative insight, then the next day day you had creativity blocks and/or unsettling anticipations with anyone or anything in the work or public arena. Bear in mind the 10th house more specifically indicates not just what we long to achieve but a pre-existing sense of achievement in something we’ve done. Some of you are seeing work place or financial advancements coming into fruition, but they may seem slow. It could also be your sense of inadequacy lingering in your head convincing you to do more. Aries, now is not the time for that.

Now the seasons are shifting, and this new moon is unfolding in your 9th house. Some of you have the opportunity to travel for leisure or visiting someone. Others of you may be mentally processing a recently gained perspective that may have come through solitude or creative exercises. A rite of passage is opening for you to new, much-needed networks to help expand your ideas, creative talents, and/or leadership to the world. You legitimately need to mentally prepare for the powerfully great opportunities about to come to you. Don’t fall short to your restless ambitions. Everything is happening for you, Aries.

Taurus (April 20-May 20): Expression comes with exposure.

How much flow are you allowing into your life, Taurus? Probably a lot considering this eclipse cycle in July pushed you to cast away for a bit to enjoy lighthearted activities– perhaps new romances, flings, a few drinks to take off the edge from your anxious anticipations, self-care, and/or splurging on yourself. This New Moon, nevertheless, will graciously wake you from your cat naps. Bad news, welcome to the real world again. Good news, the new season is shifting your 10th house into focus– therefore empowering you to look for the new opportunities to grow your presence in any creative project, social media, or anything you present to the world.

Keep in mind newness can feel uncomfortable and easy to talk ourselves out of. Especially considering a lot of fixed energy with this eclipse and its aspects, you may feel stuck in your own mental space. This can cloud your ability to see opportunities or spot any needed signs to reconfigure your plans accordingly. Or, it can push you into more isolation and comfort from your play and down time. Most of what you’re experiencing is unexplainable anxiety. No matter how exposed or weird you feel expressing yourself differently, bear in mind your self-expression is what exerts your desires into existence. People will allow you to own it if you do, dear Taurus.

Gemini (May 21-June 20): Magnetism on fleek.

The July eclipses have put you on all types of wack, Gemini. You had to sit through pretty tough emotional experiences that allowed you to release something putting a damper on you. The new season is shifting your vibration from the 12th to 11th house– therefore inspiring you to creatively express yourself on social media, friendships, and other groups who can be considered one of your “tribes”. Being so different and individualistic, it’s tough finding others who you relate to. You’re adaptable and intelligent, which allows you to be more relatable and well-spoken. This trait is everything you need to make the most of this two week cycle.

I mean, someone’s always giving you crap for existing as the person you are. In recent weeks (months for some), this was a recurring theme in your relationships or any regular interaction in your personal space– therefore bleeding into your involvement with friends, social and community circles, and can also have to do with your online presence. The past cycle still has you slightly raw with emotions, but you can alleviate this with opening your perspective to different people who may share more in common with you than expected. This New Moon is thankfully empowering you to rebuild how you connect with like-minded people who have similar interests and challenges as you. Show those who hurt you in recent weeks how much you truly radiate greatness and how much you don’t need them, Gemini.

Cancer (June 21-July 22): Spotlight or not, your shine is here to stay.

Leo season’s always gotta come in and steal your thunder, huh Cancer? Of course not. The July eclipse cycle allowed you to process needed transitions in how you define your sense of self. The True Node is still in your sign; therefore, your shine cycle is here to stay. The new season shifted your vibration from the 1st to 12th house. You’ve either gained new opportunities or perspectives on how you re-create yourself, material wealth, and your entire inner space. In turn, you’ve been asked, or will be asked in the near future, to release what no longer serves you– whether it be a living situation, relationship, job, etc.

For many, however, this choice has a positive opportunity cost. Keep in mind the burdens and frustrations from rapid change can cause you to sabotage what’s in front of you. The 12th house isn’t depressing– if anything, it’s where our liberation is the most empowering. Where we outgrow and truly evolve. Where you can really show up for yourself and no one else. However, this doesn’t mean evolve alone– it just means allow those on your wavelength to carry in the next cycle. Enjoy the fun-loving energy of Leo season and allow others to see how much brighter this cycle is making you, Cancer.

Leo (July 23-August 22): It’s safe for you to show up.

This is one helluva New Moon for you, my Leos. With the eclipse cycle in Leo/Aquarius finishing out in January 2019, drastic life transformations have occurred in waves over the last few years; thus, it’s been tough for you. Dog days are over for you, as this new season is shifting your vibration from your 2nd to 1st house. This is a time for powerful realignment that not only empowers you to practice discipline in your finances and tangibility. It’s also allowing you to be more expressive of what you’ve been reluctant to share with others– whether it be creative projects, personal experiences, or your personal truth.

As many of you have been re-creating who you are or readjusting to releasing what isn’t you, this New Moon is where you’ll really leave an imprint on others with how much you’ve grown in all areas of life. Your progress hasn’t gone unnoticed and is even getting more recognition behind the scenes. While you may not bear all your fruit at the moment, you must allow yourself to shine first. This New Moon is everything you need to make this happen. Don’t get caught in past thinking. This is now, Leo. Show up.

Virgo (August 23-September 22): Put your mouth where your money is.

You’ve likely been planning something profoundly life changing, Virgo. It largely pertains to new beginnings with a living situation and/or re-configuring your comfort zone. For many of you, it connects to relationships with anything such as breakups, engagements, children, or marriage. Others of you, however, may be experiencing this as an underlying theme whereas the overarching theme has been sorting out the details with documents, communications, finances, or any resource allowing you to create movement in this area of your life.

A lot of 2nd and 3rd house activity will re-gain momentum with this New Moon. The eclipses impacting your 5th and 11th houses may have sparked creativity and lightheartedness; however, it also pushed you far into your mental space. If you need help during this time, it’s okay to ask for it or find additional resources to aid you. If anything, now’s a great time to look into this. You may feel more empowered in the details during this time. That’s perfectly okay. You may have been overlooking something that can be your saving grace. Finances and acquisitions are highlighted for you. Be impeccable with your word and watch your outcomes be impeccable with their manifestation, dear Virgo.

Libra (September 23-October 22): Listen ’til ya learn.

Feel the energy elevate, Libra. The eclipse cycle happening in your 4H/10H is bobbling you a bit. Many of you have decided in recent weeks or months to pursue a new direction– which likely came with relocating, re-establishing your home space, and/or deep contemplations with your current living situation. For others, it can be rifts in the family unit– whether it be their lack of support in a new career interest or imposing expectations that can be slightly overwhelming. In turn, you’ve been processing your sentiments for your situation while trying to account for all who are involved in it. The new season is shifting your vibration from your 4th to 3rd house– therefore indicating an important decision needing more thought on what’s entailed on your behalf.

Your situation may be lacking the necessary details, more or less. You could be presented with an overwhelming amount of intuitive information where it’s easy to read too much into it. You may feel more talkative on your behalf, so be sure to listen to both others and your inner voice. This New Moon will alleviate communication barriers, as it’s empowering you to engage in more discussions and the general details. Expect weird signs and mentally note them. Just be patient, Libra.

Scorpio (October 23-November 22): Intuition protects your power.

Screw having a lease on life, Scorpio. I think we both know you want more for yourself than your humility allows you to admit. I’ve observed many Scorpios suddenly decide they wanted to be their best (with hopes of being the best). Sometimes we hold ourselves back from achieving the desired level of success not because we feel others have power over us– but instead how much we fear our own power. This is especially true for you during this New Moon. Because the new season is shifting your vibration from the 5th to 4th house, many of you may be experiencing self-doubt– therefore provoking an urgency for familiarity and falling back into your comfort zone.

For others, you may feel self-conscious with your emotional self-expression for feeling like “too much” when processing the heaviness you’ve burdened in recent weeks. Some of you may also be dealing with family sentiments; however, I believe family is always a present theme with Scorpio. Since the July eclipse cycle also impacted your 3rd and 5th houses, shadowed details are confusing you. Just because you can’t see how much control you have doesn’t change how scarily powerful you are. If you feel someone has been keeping tabs on you, let them. They have something you don’t– a stellar intuition that can penetrate any darkness. You thrive on details only presented through intuitive lens. This is your greatest power right now, Scorpio.

Sagittarius (November 23-December 21): Set and shine is part of the grind.

Looks like someone has been good. Yeah, I’m looking at you Sagittarius. I know you like to make people think you don’t care, but you deserve to be commended for how much care you’ve exercised in recent weeks. You’ve examined how to make better use of your time, energy, and finances through the little habits and lifestyle choices you make. With the July eclipse cycle hitting your 2nd and 8th houses, you may have experienced subtle financial blessings where you put how you’ve built your success under review. For others, it’s about finding the ability to re-claim agency over any creative, intellectual, or health (to include athletic) pursuit where you felt others were pushing you in their shadow.

Creativity is flowing through you during this time, which can empower you to overcome how others have measured your success. The new season is shifting your vibration from the 6th to 5th house– therefore reassuring you the play time you’re about to reward yourself is well deserved. Whether it’s a new beginning in romance or an exciting opportunity, enjoy what the present has to offer. You manifest best when you’re in a light state of mind and heart, Sagittarius.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19): Screw ’em.

The struggle is real with the South Node in your sign, dear Capricorn. You’ve likely been experiencing painful revelations about how family and social expectations have misled you on how you define who you truly are. This July eclipse cycle extracted the toxins from how you feel in your own skin to surface. With much 1st and 7th house activity, many of you have contemplated if a partner, friend group, or any type of partnership is an authentic reflection of you. The new season is shifting your vibration from the 7th to 6th house– therefore indicating a closer speculation of your personal habits, routines, and choices in response to any significant life changes occurring in recent weeks.

This is a time to sort through personal details and be constructively critical with yourself– not necessarily others. Bear in mind this eclipse can stir confusion in how you perceive others and yourself, as you’re experiencing vast transformations. It’s easier to remind yourself you aren’t wrong– what you were taught to believe is wrong. If you want to be right in this case, remedy your sense of inadequacy using this energy to empower the little things that make you who you are. You’re allowed to be an individual, Capricorn.

Aquarius (January 20-February 18): Be impeccable with your intentions.

It’s a struggle being people-minded when you hold your independence with high regard, Aquarius. The July eclipse cycle has likely knocked you off the radar, as a lot of 8th and 2nd house activity is requiring you to process unfamiliarity a lot quicker than you’re used to. Many of you are experiencing transformative events– whether it be an engagement, marriage, children, legal matters, a new living situation, or anything requiring a great deal of obligation from something aside from yourself. For others, it can feel like you’re carrying the emotions and responsibilities of a partner or loved one– or– your emotions may be heavy to where you feel codependent or lacking agency for yourself.

The new season is shifting from your 8th to 7th house, however. While some of you may feel your partner or other people in your life empower your sense of self, others of you may feel urged to take action on something before it settles in stone. Use this New Moon to be impeccable with your intentions. Make sure all changes moving forward are done for the right reasons and are an authentic reflection of who you are, Aquarius.

Pisces (February 19-March 20): Bless the stress.

The seeds may be planted though not rooted yet, Pisces. The July eclipse cycle involved a lot of 3rd and 9th house activity– therefore meaning you’ve been exploring and learning more about what you want in the future. It’s been a free flowing time for you, though complications may have arisen on how others were receiving your message. Whether it be a partner, roommate, or affiliate of any kind, you may have felt that arranging anything pertaining to traveling or learning opportunities were futile for you. Expect this New Moon to tighten the loose screws for you, as you may have to prepare to make a life-changing decision in the near future.

The new season is shifting from your 9th to 8th house– therefore meaning you may be anticipating (and have been) a new beginning in anything pertaining to engagement, marriage, huge traveling or moving opportunity, children, and can even involve a relationship start end, or renewal. It’ll involve anything with planning and organizing in respect to financial resources and investments. You’ve been looking to expand yourself for quite some time. Whatever it is, Pisces, prepare yourself for the long haul so you can enjoy the abundance that’ll soon flood into your life.

The New Moon on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at 8 degrees Leo highlights the challenging planetary aspect of Venus square Uranus. This brings stress, anxiety and the potential for unexpected changes to your love life and finances.

The July 2019 new moon also joins two stars called the Ascelli, in Constellation Cancer the Crab. Their aggressive and impatience influence stresses the importance of being patient and cooperative during this challenging moon phase.

A new moon represents the end of one cycle and the beginning of another new 28-day cycle. Sun conjunct Moon gives an invigorating burst of energy and initiative. So this is an excellent time for making a fresh start, turning over a new leaf, or starting a new project. You can also question old habits, behaviors, and beliefs as you search for new and inventive ways to make progress.

The July 31 new moon at 08°36′ Leo Sign is close to Venus. On its own, this is a very positive influence, especially for love and money. But the square aspect to Uranus makes this a challenging influence. So the major influence on the new moon is Venus square Uranus.

New Moon conjunct Venus shines the light on your love life, finances, and creativity. This is a good new moon for leisure activities, socializing, partying and dating. You will feel more emotional, caring and loving, but also more sensitive and easily upset.

An eye for fashion and beauty makes this a good time for shopping, decorating, and makeovers. However, Venus can give a tendency toward vanity, laziness, and overindulgence. Take care if using your credit card because of a tendency to spend based on emotional reactions rather than common sense.

New Moon square Uranus brings unexpected change, uncertainty, anxiety, and tension. This can lead to unpredictable behavior, rebelliousness, abruptness, rapid changes in direction and even accidents.

The best way to handle this impulsive energy is to be proactive about positive change with open-mindedness and flexibility. A change could lead to a brave new path which opens your life to many more possibilities and opportunities.

Venus square Uranus can bring a need for freedom and excitement in your love life. This is more likely if you have been feeling smothered, confined or bored. A healthy relationship will face no major drama, especially with an open-minded partner. Experimentation in the bedroom might satisfy your need for increased stimulation.

The more demanding or conservative you partner, the more likely you are to lose your patience or lash out in anger. Such uncertainty and instability in your love could lead to sudden separations, flirting or short-lived affairs.

Singles may be attracted to exciting or eccentric people. Those who seem risky, dangerous or from a different cultural or ethnic background. A new romance is possible but any commitment would be unlikely in the short term.

Finally, Care needs to be taken when spending or investing money. You are more likely to impulse buy and spend too much on unnecessary items. An urge to make money quickly will most likely to result in sudden loss.

August 2019 is an amazing month from an astrological perspective. After an extremely difficult July, August comes as a breath of fresh air.

If in July we have the Eclipses plus some extremely difficult oppositions on the Cancer-Capricorn axis, August has none of that.

Apart from 2 squares to Uranus, and the monthly, predictable Moon aspects, in August we have no challenging aspects. NADA! Even the Saturn-Pluto conjunction has loosened up. I haven’t seen such positive, uplifting energy in a loooong time.

In the first half of the month, you can take a well-deserved break. Thanks to the sparkly, uplifting Leo-trine-Jupiter energy, August is the best time of the year to have fun and simply enjoy life.

In the second half of the month, the energy slowly shifts from Leo to Virgo, and you will turn into a productivity machine. In August, you play hard and you also work hard. And the best thing, working hard will feel like fun! Doing work and enjoying it? Yes, it is possible in August.

But let’s have a look at the most important aspects of the month:

August 1st, 2019 –  Mercury Goes Direct

August couldn’t have started better. On August 1st, Mercury finally goes direct at 23° Cancer.

This Mercury retrograde was more difficult than the usual Mercury retrograde because Mercury was inflamed by a prolonged conjunction with Mars.

Mars (will power, anger) conjunct Mercury (thoughts, communication) brought anger, resentment, and arguments.

Also, because Mercury was retrograde, we found it more difficult to put into words (Mercury) what we want (Mars), which in turn created even more frustration, resentment, and anger.

This is all over now. Phew. Mercury is still recovering from a hammering opposition to Pluto, but it’s slowly slowly departing from the ‘crime scene’. Life will get better and better.

August 1st, 2019 – New Moon In Leo

On August 1st, 2019 we have a New Moon at 8° Leo. The New Moon is conjunct Venus, square Uranus, and trine Jupiter. This is a very optimistic, creative and uplifting New Moon.

Venus is now not only in the heart of the Sun but also in the heart of the Moon. We are one with Venus. Heart, spirit, and soul beat as one.

Right now, you will only do something if it ‘feels right’. Sometimes, ‘feeling right’ about doing something can be a safety trap. But that’s not the case right now. Right now, your feelings know the truth.

The auspicious trine to Jupiter will make you feel that A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G is possible. You can go as high as you want, as far as you want.

And if you need to change something on the way (New Moon square Uranus) you will do it gracefully and without too much resistance. Your desire to grow is simply stronger than your fear of change.

August 2nd, 2019 – Venus Square Uranus

On August 2nd, 2019 Venus is square Uranus, now at 6° Taurus. Venus is what we want, and Uranus is freedom. When Venus is square Uranus, we want freedom.

Freedom is a little bit more than “I want to do what I want when I want”. Freedom is not about being carefree and careless.

Freedom is about taking full responsibility for who you are. When you are true to yourself, to your values, freedom comes automatically.

August 7th-8th, 2019 – Sun And Venus Trine Jupiter

Between the 7th and the 8th of July, both Sun and Venus (which are now very close to each other) are trine Jupiter at 14° Sagittarius. This is a social, enthusiastic and vibrant transit you really want to take advantage of. Make sure you get out of the house!

August 11th, 2019 – Mercury Re-enters Leo

On August 11th, 2019, Mercury leaves Cancer for good and moves into Leo. Mercury has spent a lot of time in Cancer.

Mercury is the planet of the mind, the planet of objectivity. Cancer is the sign of emotions. In the last couple of months, Mercury has been trying to find reason in emotions. It was not easy, with Mars there.

But hopefully, the prolonged stay of Mercury in Cancer has helped us all to be more resilient and more objective about our emotions, even – and especially – in times of stress and pressure.

August 12th, 2019 – Jupiter Goes Direct And  Uranus Goes Retrograde

Every time a slow-moving planet changes direction, something about our lives changes too. On August 12th we have not one, but two planetary stations: Jupiter turns direct at 14° Sagittarius, and Uranus turns retrograde at 6° Taurus.

You can expect a sudden ‘twist of fate’ – something unexpected can come your way; you can find that something you believed to be true is not that ‘true’ anymore. You have outlived it.

And when one door closes, another one opens. And I bet you will love the type of door Jupiter opens.

August 14th, 2019 – Venus Conjunct Sun

Venus conjuncts Sun at 21° Leo. We are now half-way through the Venus cycle. The Venus cycle started on October 26th, 2018, when Venus retrograde conjuncted the Sun. Now Venus throws herself again in the arms of the Sun, but this time for a different reason.

Venus is now closest to the Sun and farthest away from the Earth. And although Venus will still be invisible for a while, the superior Venus-Sun conjunction marks the official shift from Venus as a morning star to Venus as an evening star.

If with Venus morning star we leaned about self-love, now, with Venus evening star, we will learn about selfless love.

August 15th, 2019 – Full Moon In Aquarius

On August 15th, 2019 we have a Full Moon at 22° Aquarius. The Full Moon in Aquarius is tightly opposite Venus, at 22° Leo. Right now, Venus is one with the Sun. We hold our values and our values hold us.

If Leo is the heart, Aquarius is the mind. As with any Full Moon, we work on both sides of the axis. On the one hand, we have our values – those things we care for, no matter what.

On the other hand, the Full Moon comes to illuminate a higher truth, and puts things into perspective.

Leo’s heart without Aquarius’ mind is reckless, and Aquarius’ mind without Leo’s heart is dangerous. But when we pull our heart and mind together, we are unstoppable.

August 16th, 2019 – Mercury Square Uranus

Mercury is square Uranus, now at 6° Taurus. No matter how open-minded we are, we all resist change. Yes, even those of us with lots of mutable energy in our natal chart. And if there is a planet that wants change at all costs, that’s Uranus.

Mercury square Uranus in fixed signs is one of those ‘stubborn’ transits. Mercury rules our thoughts – not to be confused with our beliefs (which are ruled by Jupiter).

Our thoughts are easier to change, thanks to a process called brain plasticity.

Mercury square Uranus is your opportunity to change something about the way you see the world. Write down your thoughts, practice mindfulness or have a healthy debate with a friend. The idea is to become aware of your thoughts and of where the resistance is coming from.

August 18th -23rd, 2019 – Mars, Venus And Sun Enter Virgo

On August 18th, 2019 Mars enters Virgo. On August 21st, 2019, Venus enters Virgo and finally two days later Sun enters Virgo, on August 23rd.

The energy shift will be palpable and real. If Leo lit a fire in your heart, now you’re ready to do something about it.

And there’s no better sign than Virgo to help you turn this creative fire into something of value, into something that others can benefit from too.

August 24th, 2019 – Venus conjunct Mars

On August 24th, 2019 Venus is conjunct Mars at 4° Virgo. Venus and Mars are the two relationship planets, and they meet up in a conjunction once every 2 years, starting a new relationship cycle.

Venus and Mars are like the opposite poles of a magnet. They attract each other, and as a result of their passion, something new comes into existence. Whether is a new life, a new relationship, or a new creative project, Venus conjunct Mars is your cosmic go-ahead to get your creative juices flowing.

Of course, if you have planets around 4° Virgo, this upcoming Venus-Mars cycle will especially impact you. But even if you don’t have any planets in Virgo, the conjunction will still take place in one of the houses of your chart. This is where you can ‘birth’ something new.

August 29th, 2019 – Mercury Enters Virgo

Finally, on August 29th, Mercury joins the Virgo club. He’s a bit late to the party but catching up fast. Not only will you see the world like a Virgo (Sun), act like a Virgo (Mars) and feel like a Virgo (Venus)… now you will think like a Virgo, too!

And that’s great because there’s no other place in the zodiac where Mercury feels so good. Indeed, Mercury in Virgo is the only planet that is both in domicile AND in exaltation in the same sign – Virgo.

No matter what your Mercury sign is, Mercury in Virgo will favor any type of intellectual pursuit.

August 30th, 2019 – New Moon In Virgo

On August 30th, 2019 we have a New Moon at 6° Virgo. This New Moon is very very Virgo because we have 5 personal planets in Virgo, which is pretty unusual.

The New Moon in Virgo is a fantastic New Moon which forms a Grand Earth Trine with Uranus in Taurus and Saturn in Capricorn. Earth is a ‘make it happen’ element. And Virgo is the sign of the harvest.

When you want to manifest something in your life, you don’t new woo-woo stuff or magical Neptune aspects. You need a New Moon in Virgo. And this is an especially ‘manifesting’ New Moon, thanks to the positive aspects to the other Earth signs.

What a way to finish the month! One day later, on September 1st, Sun will conjunct Mars, starting a new synodic Mars cycle. After an amazing New Moon, the Hero’s journey begins. But more about the Hero’s journey, in the September forecasts.

astrology signs

The transit (moving) Sun enters Leo in about 12 hours (10:50PM ET), officially kicking off the season of the Lion. It’s been dicey for Leo energy this month so far thanks to Mercury retrograde starting in Leo, but now that Mercury has moved out into Cancer (sorry Cancers!), we can start thinking about how to make some of this Leo energy work a little better. A little less bad drama, a little more fun drama!

Leo loves fun, creativity, and lightness, and we could sure use a good dose of that. Since Mercury is still retrograde until the 31st, we may be a little slow getting into it though. Try to do things you connect with emotionally to please Cancer, and that also make you laugh, remind you to have a good time, and that you enjoy to please Leo. It’s a great time for creative projects and ventures, and Leo loves a little romance and a little love connecting.

Fiery Mars is already in Leo (started July 1st) and is for most of the time the Sun is in Leo (Mars is in Leo to August 18th; the Sun is in Leo to August 23rd; they won’t conjunct in Leo though). Venus enters Leo in a few days (July 27th) and is with the Sun and Mars for most of the tour as well (until August 21st). This helps bring energy and drive from Mars, and some pleasantness with Venus (we need that!). A new moon occurs in Leo on July 31st that can help us kick start things (though Mercury retrograde ends that day triggering the lunar eclipse, sooo energy may be wonky right around then!).

While in Leo, the Sun makes 3 major aspects: square (3 signs away hard aspect) transit Uranus in Taurus July 29th (around the wonky time so watch impulsiveness, rebellion, and the general ick), trine (4 signs away, easy aspect) transit Jupiter in Sagittarius August 7th (much nicer energy, time to expand, explore, and pursue opportunity), and conjunct (aligned with) transit Venus in Leo August 14th (making us pleasant, diplomatic, charming, and wanting to come together).

If you’re a Leo or Virgo, most likely you’re going to have a stellium in your solar return, which will have an impact.  Everyone else can note the houses in their chart where these stelliums will fall over the next four weeks.  That’s where the action will be. Remember, this is personal. These are the inner planets transiting in a block. This is not that common.

Today the Sun joined Mars in the sign.  Venus will move into Leo on Sunday. This will be the official start of the summer stelliums in Leo and Virgo. (Read Stelliums Post)

Mercury is currently retrograde in Cancer but will join the Sun, Venus, and Mars in Leo as we get into August. That’s a lot of LIGHT.

Jupiter in Sagittarius will trine the planets in Leo. The third fire sign, Aries will benefit greatly from this. This is good to see as Aries is a sign that’s been punished by Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. It’s nice to get some Sun after being sunk in a well… right?!

Beginning August 11th, the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars will pull together to form a stellium in Leo.  Leo energy is creative, warm, shiny and fun. It’s hard not to look forward to this!

As for how this will impact you, check the house(s) in your chart where the stellium will fall.  The area of life associated with that house will be infused with fire and light at this time.

The stellium in Leo will be maintained through August 17th. If your birthday falls during this period, you’re going to have a great Solar Return chart.  It’ll be a fun year.

Mars will leave Leo for Virgo on August 18th. The Sun, Mercury and Venus will follow until the same four-planet stellium forms in Virgo. This stellium will be maintained for more than two weeks. August 29th through September 13th.

Again, to judge the effects of this, check the house in your chart that will be affected.  It’s going to be freakishly activated. So much to do, so much to say!

Virgos with birthdays between these dates, check your Solar Return. But beyond that, I think everyone can gain insight by considering the impact of these four planets sticking this close together for more than four weeks.

Think about them rolling into one house and then into the next.  I see this as the highlight of summer, 2019.

Also, these stelliums will affect you in a way that is personal. This is because it’s inner planets that are involved here.  This is significant because so much of what’s we’re dealing with is not personal.

For example, you may be personally affected by what happens; say the results of an election (Pluto in Capricorn) or the price of a stock that rises and falls (Uranus in Taurus). But that’s different then YOU being the driver of an event. These things are worlds apart. It’s the second scenario in play, this summer.

At the time of a lunar eclipse, the sun and the moon “oppose each other in their respective signs,” . “They tug against each other and create tension.” On July 16, the moon will be in Capricorn, opposing the sun in Cancer.

The planets come into play, too. “Restrictive Saturn, transformative Pluto, and illusive Neptune will all be triggered by this lunar eclipse (all these planets are retrograde, which means we are coming to terms with the past),”. “All these planets may cause havoc in our personal lives — but, they can also create change. We are letting go of the limits that hold us back and evolving into the person of our dreams. We are seeing things and others for who they are. We are letting go of the restrictions that hold us back.”

The full effects of eclipses take up to six months to be fully unpacked, but you’re likely to feel them intensely as they happen,”. “The lunar eclipse on the 16th is a powerful time for releasing; whether you need to let go of a habit, a relationship, or even the past, the energy is there to help you. The downside of this is that if you don’t use this energy to transform what you’ve outgrown, you’re likely to be confronted by drama, or find yourself caught up in obsessive and self-destructive thoughts, or projecting past hurts onto current situations.”

During a lunar eclipse, the sun, the moon, and the earth “are tightly aligned and create an intense luminary that brings extreme light upon earth,”. “This means that we are finally awakened from our sleep, as we are now able to see situations and people clearly with the bright light cast upon earth.”

The easiest way to think about lunar eclipses is that they’re full moons – but with the volume turned all the way up,”. In astrology, full moons are a time for clarity and completion, a time when everything comes out in the open — which makes sense when you consider how bright the full moon is.

This Lunar Eclipse FULL MOON on the Capricorn/Cancer axis vibrates on the theme of personal authority, guiding us back to our seat of power. It illuminates the key lines of our life choices, asking us to clearly see what has been driving them.

Beneath it all, have our choices been based on a need to stay safe? Or propelled by social approval and acceptance? Or perhaps have they been unconsciously bound to some old programming that has been passed down for generations?

Right now they are being realigned to emerge from the direct fount of our own truth and knowing.

With the Sun at the North Node and the Moon at the South Node, this eclipse warns against the sacrifice of inner knowing in favour of external authority. “Pluto conjunct the Moon, with Saturn also in Capricorn, emphasizes the power and influence of received wisdom which keeps us locked into old beliefs and patterns of behaviour.

Cancer is the sign of the Empath, the Nurturer, the Sensitive. And yet, Cancer the Crab needs its shell—representing strong boundaries—in order to survive in the world.

“The North Node in Cancer tells us that humanity’s growth depends on our ability to be more openhearted, more emotionally generous, more trusting in the guidance of our intuitive knowing.

“But, at the same time, we must also know our boundaries and our internal strength, so that we don’t dissolve into a helpless and hopeless emotional heap when viewing the problems in the world.”

Here comes the major full moon of the summer: The July 2019 full moon and lunar eclipse in Capricorn.

It’s likely to be intense. Not only will we be dealing with the chaotic energy of literally five retrograde planets, but we’re also left to balance the often-chaotic eclipse energy. Eclipses are about fate — July’s moons are not ideal for manifesting, doing magic work, or starting brand new things. Instead, the universe is pouring some truths down on us and helping to show us our path. Submit to the ride and allow yourself to open up to these things — even if they’re difficult or not what you had in mind.

This moon is also likely to make us feel extra edgy and dark given a close conjunction with planet Pluto (which is also currently retrograde). The Capricorn Full Moon on Tuesday, July 16, falls on the back of a Partial Lunar Eclipse, making this a day when sitting at home with the blinds drawn looks like your best option, LOL.

But even the stormiest of clouds have a silver lining, and if we prepare ourselves for the way this moon may make us feel, perhaps we can make the most of it. The lunar eclipse on July 16th is a powerful moon that will urge us all to transform our lives — even if we aren’t ready. Change is on the horizon, and maybe that’s a good thing.

HOW WILL IT AFFECT YOU?

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

All this transformation energy is gently (or not so gently, depending on how things go) nudging toward a career path that actually works for you. A work situation is now in flux, which will help you move towards the career of your dreams. Keep your eyes and ears open to possibilities.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

The full moon eclipse energy is intense, so retreating inward and getting in touch with your spiritual side might bring you a bit of comfort. Committing to a higher minded activity will allow you to heal wounds and your heart. Throw a few Tarot spreads, hit a yoga class, or just soak up the sun.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

It never feels good to have the weight of being indebted to someone looming over you — so commit to taking care of business now, Gemini. Consolidating debt and making a new conscious decision to repay debts will benefit you during this luminary. Waters have been rocky, but being responsible will quell some anxieties.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

There have been some lingering feelings and loose ends in your relationships lately, Cancer, and it’s weighing on you. Now’s the time to take steps toward closing those doors for good. You’re closing a romantic chapter on your past and bringing in a new one simultaneously, . Trust the process.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22)

You’ve got the fire of your ruling planet fueling you to work toward your goals nonstop, but this full moon is begging you — if not forcing you — to take a breather. Take time and chill during this eclipse. Have a spa day and relax to relieve anxieties. You’ll come out of this eclipse series refreshed and ready to tackle.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22)

When everything in life feels out of control, it’s easy for you to turn toward the little details and obsess. Under this luminary, your love life might be under your microscope. Your crush may be giving you the silent treatment which is causing your stress levels to heighten. Don’t worry, they will give you extra TLC and attention soon.

Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22)

The simultaneous craving to be around people and deep need to do some internal processing is real, so get the best of both worlds by only allowing your inner circle near your energy under this moon. This eclipse will allow you to reconnect with your family and friends. Spend time with those who are near and dear.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)

Sometimes silence has the power of 1,000 stingers full of poison. Instead of lashing out at the energy vampires looming near, kill them with dead air. You’re using your silence to express your powerful nature, [putting] those who aim to hurt you in their place. Create a safe, energetic shield around yourself.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21)

This full moon eclipse is affecting finances, and in your case, it should actually send some long-forgotten boons in your direction. A payback on a loan is coming your way, which will allow you to go on a shopping spree. But pump the breaks until the end of the month when Mercury goes direct and bigger purchases will be easier.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19)

Dust yourself off and trust the universal process — it has your best interest at heart. You’re taking your power back. Now you are asserting your will on others and taking charge! You know you’re a born boss. Vow to put your big girl boots on and start kicking ass/taking names.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18)

Feeling a bit nostalgic, eh? It’s not in your usual repertoire of emotions, sure, but go with the flow of what this full moon is planting within you. You’re in the mood to reflect on the past now, which will allow you to elevate your spirits later on. Pondering the past can sometimes help you make informed decisions about the future.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20)

There’s been some difficult overlap between your love life and your social circle, and it’s probably making you extra sensitive under the eclipse. Your friends may create issues with your crush. Try to keep boundaries between both patients to avoid conflicts. A little compartmentalization for the sake of your sanity never hurts.
