April Full Moon in Libra: April 7, 2020. Clarity !

You know how 2020 is being described as the year of clear vision? Yep…clarity.   And 2020 is certainly starting out that way ! The world is on lockdown ! Like: whatever you were doing, whatever you were thinking or planned ….STOP NOW UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Because it’s a supermoon, it will be noticeable bigger and brighter than a regular full moon, and you can see for yourself the night of April 7th. It will be brightest around 10:35 p.m. ET. And since the world as a whole is on lockdown…well….why not go outside and check it out?

Because this is the first full moon of springtime, it’s also considered the Paschal Full Moon, as it helps predict the date of Easter. This is a full moon in Libra, which allows them to predict the highs and lows that will come with it. A full moon in Libra will illuminate themes of balance, partnership, beauty and harmony, which are ruled by Libra. Full moons are a time to look at everything in full light and make changes as needed. They can represent endings, completions or something coming to a ‘peak moment,’ where your hard work of the past six months finally pays off or, if it doesn’t, you decide to move on!” There’s no guarantee that this moment of clarity will strike on Tuesday night exactly, though, because the effects of a full moon are typically felt one to three days before and after the moon’s peak.

And when is the Corona virus expected to peak in the US?

If you’re been waiting for a sign, this Super Pink Moon could be it—especially if you’re an air sign, or just someone looking for clarity on an important decision or life event.

Overall, April is a month meant for practicing gratitude and productivity. With so many of us stuck at home, it’s only right that we take some time to look inwards and reflect.

Given the current terms of social distancing, this is also a great month to reach out to friends and family and focus on strengthening relationships. No, you can’t meet up for happy hour but if distance really does makes the heart grow fonder, this month will reveal who’s in your life for “all the right reasons.”

The Full Moon occurs on Tuesday when the Sun in Aries forms an opposition to the Libra Moon. It’s a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of something begun at the New Moon. Heightened emotions, romance, fertilization, relationship drama, and epiphanies are themes.

The Aries-Libra polarity is a relationship axis, where Aries represents “self,” and Libra represents “other.” Where Aries is about self-assertion, Libra is about compromise. With the Libra Moon, we’re especially aware of our need for relationships and all that comes with maintaining them — compromising, negotiating, graciousness, and balancing. The Aries Sun, on the other hand, is self-assertive, leading, and personally courageous.

This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and attending to the needs of a significant other, and between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability. The Libra Moon is diplomatic, equality-focused, and fair-minded. The Aries Sun values authenticity over tact and is energized by independent efforts. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.

Relationship epiphanies occur now. We’re likely to experience revelations about our independence, need for others, and partnerships. A Mars-Uranus square has just occurred when the Moon reaches full, and through unpredictable events, changes, and conflict, we are made especially aware of our need for others. Mars-Uranus is divisive, but an applying Venus-Mars trine suggests we’re finding creative ways to relate and unite. Interestingly, Venus rules the Libra Moon, and Mars rules the Aries Sun, and their harmony is especially helpful for resolving conflicts, particularly through conversation and fair-mindedness.

Mars and Saturn are fresh in Aquarius. It’s been 2 years since they last conjuncted (April 2018 in Capricorn), and it’s so early in the sign of Aquarius. Capricorn has been (and continues to be) the dominant energy for 2020 (and Jupiter conjuncts Pluto soon in Capricorn, and Saturn comes back to Capricorn on July, so it’s not going away!).

With Mars and Saturn now in Aquarius (albeit for a few months with Saturn), we can start to think more about the future. Capricorn is all about your goals, ambitions, direction, responsibilities, and is very practical, realistic, and traditional. Aquarius goes for the unconventional, craving change and what’s different. If we’ve felt set in our ways, Aquarius shakes things up.

Mars (ruler of Aries and let’s get going) conjunct Saturn(karma baby) in Aquarius (change, change, change) gives incredible energy for change, independence, and the future. We start getting a glimpse now of what 2021 holds (with Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius). It’s not really change that we jump into impulsively, erratically, or impatiently though. With Saturn involved, it doesn’t work that way! Instead, these will be changes that we’ve thought about, started planning for, and make sense.

These two are very early in Aquarius at only 0 degrees, so this may be a time of planting seeds rather than seeing big growth right away. What we put in motion now can take off next year (Jupiter and Saturn enter Aquarius mid-December of this year).

This can focus for you right now on the areas of life ruled by the house the conjunction occurs in (it’ll likely be the house cusp that falls in Capricorn, and where the Capricorn stellium is occurring in; this can tie into where Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius will come to next year, if it’s a different house).

You can feel this most if the conjunction is making a major aspect to your chart. Look for points between 0 and 2 degrees of Aquarius (conjunction – strongest), Leo (opposition – external challenges), Taurus or Scorpio (square – internal blocks), Aries or Sagittarius (sextile – making opportunities), or Gemini or Libra (trine – easy opportunities).

One last note – Jupiter and Saturn will also conjunct at 0 degrees Aquarius December 21st (they don’t conjunct in Capricorn). So whatever gets hit right now for you with Mars conjunct Saturn can get hit again in December with Jupiter conjunct Saturn, and you may find developments of now tie into developments of then. So be mindful. AND THIS TOO WILL PASS.
