Five of Cups

Apply this to Mercury STILL retrograde until Feb 3, Venus stationing direct yesterday and Aquarius new moon Feb 1. The Five of Cups often appears in a Tarot reading when a situation hasn’t turned out the way you expected, and you are sad, regretful, and disappointed. Instead of moving on with your life, you are choosing to wallow in your self-pity. All you can focus on right now is what went wrong and how you failed. Sweetheart, it’s time to get over it! Sure, feel the feels, but set yourself a time limit for your self-pity and then pull yourself together and move on.

The Five of Cups suggests you’re stuck in the past and can’t let go. Old wounds and bitter memories flood your mind as you think about what happened. You may blame yourself or believe you’re a victim of life’s circumstances. These negative emotions are holding you back from your fullest potential – release them so you can move on and create positive change.Forgiveness is vital with the Five of Cups, both of yourself and others. If someone has disappointed you, find it within your heart to forgive that person, releasing yourself from the disappointment.

And if you are frustrated with yourself, know that you did the best you could under the circumstances and have now learned from your mistakes.Remember, too, that hindsight is much clearer than foresight and wisdom in the present moment comes from the mistakes of the past. Reflect on what led you to this point and understand what valuable lessons you can take from the experience. Even when things go pear-shaped, you can always take away something positive by reflecting on the lessons learned. The Five of Cups shows you that, even though things aren’t going your way, new opportunities and possibilities are waiting for you – but only when you are ready. It’s time to shift your mindset and focus on what can go right from this point onwards. Be open to the brighter side of life and know many blessings are in disguise right now. Instead of giving in to a ‘glass is half empty’ perspective, look at it as the ‘glass is half full’.

Five of Cups Reversed The reversed Five of Cups suggests that you have recently suffered a personal setback or disappointment. You may worry that you are a ‘failure’ and don’t want to let others know you’ve taken the wrong path. Or you may not be ready to admit it to others and are choosing to keep your feelings to yourself instead. However, now might be the time to open up. People around you may not see how much pain you’re in right now, so don’t be afraid to ask for help or talk with someone you trust; you may find it lessens the emotional pain.

You’ll find that by sharing your feelings with others, you’ll realize that you can overcome this temporary setback. If you feel guilty or ashamed about what happened, blaming yourself for the mistakes you made, the reversed Five of Cups encourages you to forgive yourself and move on. Know that you did the best you could. This may be the perfect opportunity for you to practice the Hawaiian forgiveness ritual, Ho’oponopono, where you say sorry, ask for forgiveness, express gratitude and move into love. When this card turns up in a Tarot reading, you are realizing the full implications of the past, and you appreciate the lessons learned from the experience. You may even recognize the value of the painful experience in the broader scheme of things.

The Five of Cups reversed serves as a reminder that you cannot undo the past – what has happened, has happened. It is now time to let go of what no longer serves you emotionally, and open to the new opportunities available to you. You are discovering how to be open and take risks again, especially those of the heart. If you have suffered setbacks, you will find that you will be more hopeful about the future and engage with the exciting, creative side of life again.Five of Cups Tarot Card Meanings tarot card meaning

This New Moon In Aquarius Is Prime for Intention Setting! If Mercury retrograde has been zapping your energy and making it seemingly impossible to get ahead since January 14, you’ll be thrilled to learn that February brings a whole new vibe. And you’re sure to feel it right off the bat when the first of the month serves up a new moon in fixed air sign Aquarius centering around friendships, collegial relationships, group projects, and humanitarian efforts.

As the start of a whole new  moon cycle, new moons traditionally present a chance to get clear on big-picture dreams, goals, and projects. And in order to lock them in, you can practice a ritual like opening up to a therapist or loved one, journaling, or lighting a candle. Think of it as your monthly — and very rarely, twice monthly — astrological nudge to pinpoint something you want to accomplish, then design your ultimate action plan for getting there. Because this new moon is occurring right on the edge of the month, technically, this will be the second new moon in January for people behind the Eastern time zone.

And it’ll also serve as the first page of a whole new chapter in your life!  If you want it.  If you let it !

If Mercury retrograde has been zapping your energy and making it seemingly impossible to get ahead since January 14, you’ll be really happy to learn that February brings a whole new vibe. And I for one am ready for it !  My credit card got hacked, something I ordered got lost in the mail, I ordered the wrong part for my computer,  my WI-fi is slow and my fire stick has been merrily just buffering along and that’s just the tip of stuff I’ve been going through.

If you were born under the sign of the Aquarius Water Bearer — approximately January 20 to February 18 — or with your personal planets (the sun, moon, Mercury, Venus, or Mars) in Aquarius (something you can learn from your natal chart), you’ll feel this new moon more than most. More specifically, if you have a personal planet that falls within five degrees of the new moon (12 degrees Aquarius), you could feel extra driven and focused on taking advantage of its go-getter vibe.

This is the time to set powerful intentions around friendships, collegial relationships, group projects, and humanitarian efforts.

What New Moons Mean and Represent

The new Moon marks the beginning of a lunar cycle. This means that there’s a new Moon about once a month. As a new moon represents the start of a new moon cycle, it symbolizes new beginnings. People use the energy of a new moon to achieve their goals or start on a new project. They also reflect on their old goals and set themselves new ones.

Themes of the February 2022 Aquarius New Moon

Fixed air sign Aquarius, symbolized by the Water Bearer, is ruled by Uranus, the planet of revolution and change, and rules the eleventh house of networking, groups, and wishes. People with strong Aquarius placements — meaning, your big three (sun, moon, and rising sign) — are generally progressive, future-minded, humanitarian, social, and especially adept at platonic relationships, eccentric, free-spirited, and contrarian. Preferring to march to the beat of their own drum and strike out against convention at every turn, you’ll see a typically open-minded Water Bearer dole out plenty of “nos” when they get into their signature black-and-white way of thinking about something.

People ask me all the time about new moon rituals.  Consider lighting a candle or some incense in a quiet space where you can relax. Or write down what you want from life and focus on these goals while the new moon is in the sky. Or create an altar with sacred objects such as pictures, stones and crystals, and take a ritual bath with sea salt to clear them of any negative energies beforehand.

So, in general, Aquarius new moons are about collaborating with others (how about networking for your business), looking down the road at what you want to achieve (school or maybe a new job), and connecting with friends and loved ones. We are still in pandemic mode for getting together physically but the phone still works ! With two retrogrades (Mercury and Venus) affecting our social and romantic lives recently, this new moon could set the stage for reconnecting with people you haven’t seen in a minute — for the greater purpose of beginning a new chapter with them or reevaluating how you’re showing up in your platonic relationships.

Restriction-loathing Uranus is also a key player during this new moon. Not only does the planet rule the event itself, since it’s the ruler of Aquarius, but it will also form a tense (albeit activating) square to the new moon. This aspect could stir up nervous, anxious, and also innovation-inspiring energy. You’ll want to rebel against the status quo and break free of anything that feels restrictive or conventional. Yeah and for those living in New York right now, that mask mandate is really riling people up !  It IS coming to an end.  Let’s get through Mercury Retrograde first okay?

And speaking of restriction, the most powerful connection the moon will make is to taskmaster Saturn, the planet of limitations, boundaries, but also commitment and diligence. The Aquarius new moon will sit almost exactly conjunct to Saturn, making this a moment in which you’ll be motivated to put your nose to the grindstone and begin ambitious projects. But it could be more about feeling pressured to do so, because whatever you need to get to work on is intertwined with your responsibilities. Uranus’ pull to act independently could add to the struggle as well.

With Mercury still retrograde at the time of the new moon — and about to turn direct just a couple days later on Thursday, February 3 — it’s possible that diving full-throttle into an ambitious game plan could be delayed a bit anyway. But with several planets still in industrious Capricorn — Mercury, Mars, Venus — your drive to get down to whatever business is spotlit now will win out sooner versus later.

And oh yeah, about that Mercury Retrograde.  It’s ending February 3rd and I keep getting asked the question: is this why I want to get back with my ex?  And my answer is: this person is your EX for a reason ! Proceed with caution ! Venus retrograde which ended January 29, has allowed us to take a good, long look at our lives and discover what we truly want out of our love and financial lives. If you’ve experienced an end to a relationship (romantic or platonic) or a desire to revamp your budget, then the retrograde period has done its job. Maybe it’s a sign that your EX really should stay your EX and that friendship that did NOT ever serve you is now over. Maybe stick a fork in it?

Although Venus is often referred to as the Planet of Love and Affection, it also rules our finances. And because Venus retrograde happened in Capricorn, a zodiac sign that focuses on career and work, we were affected in this department even more than usual. “Are we over-working ourselves? What does success really mean to us? Does our career bring us joy? And most importantly, is the way we make money even in line with our true passion?” Since the onset of the pandemic, we’ve all been questioning the circumstances in which we’ve been forced to work — plenty of injustices in the workforce have been exposed, and this retrograde may have given you a new perspective on what work and your career really mean to you. Venus will be leaving Capricorn on March 6, whether or not the Venus Rx caused you to join in on the Great Resignation or as I like to think of it as Relationship, Friendship and Worketh Interupitis !

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the planet of structure and stability. So when Mars moves into this sign, forget about getting caught up in pipe dreams or impulsive behavior. We’ll be looking at life through a more realistic and level-headed lens at this time. Mars in Capricorn wants us to survey what’s in front of us, plan our next move, and get down to business so we turn ideas into realities.

There’s another upside to the pragmatic energy created by Mars in Capricorn. This transit wants us to not only question why we’re doing what we’re doing, but how we’re doing it. Mars wants to act, and Capricorn wants to make sure we do it with purpose. This transit, then, is a time to set clearer goals and re-evaluate our previous goals so we can do them in a better, more efficient way.

New moons are generally about self-reflection, getting clear on your hopes and dreams, and strengthening the belief in yourself in order to pave a promising path forward. This month’s new moon, being in community-oriented Aquarius and pairing up with restrained Saturn, challenges you to reflect on which group efforts and platonic bonds are worthy of your energy, to fulfill your commitments, and consider where in your life you need to break free.

Aquarius might be an intellectual, social air sign, but as a fixed sign, the Water Bearer zeros in on a strategy and sees it through. That said, this new moon moment could pave the way to putting in the work that will make long-term wishes an everyday reality.

While Aquarius isn’t the most romantic placement for Mercury, it will help you stick to the facts, making it easier not to let the bombardment of cupid-themed posts get to you.

Before I leave, lets talk about the new moon law of abundance.  New moons are all about new beginnings.  This new moon is focusing on your platonic relationships and the groups you associate with, as it falls in Aquarius, the ruler of the eleventh house of networking.

Start asking yourself questions about networking, the friendships you’re pouring your time and energy into as well as the team projects you’re contributing to. Aquarian energy also challenges us to put the greater good of our community above all else, so you could be thinking in those terms as well and volunteering for a homeless shelter or animal shelter.  Maybe running for office as a way to effect change in your community !

Speaking of networking, I’m going to be doing readings at Painted Love, 145 Belmont in Tonawanda, this Saturday from 1-4 pm.  Come on down and see me for a psychic reading. Text me at 716 481 2799 or hit me up at [email protected] or Facebook for an appointment.  Lets talk about a new year, your goals and decisions and maybe also hear from someone who is on the other side.

Welcome to February, the month of chilly weather, warm love, and Valentine’s Day, plus whatever feelings — the good, the bad, and the aloof — that it may bring.

We begin with a new moon in detached Aquarius on Tuesday, February 1. As a reminder, dark new moons are a time for new beginnings, so use this night to set intentions for the month ahead. As this moon falls in humanitarian Aquarius, you may feel drawn to issue bigger than yourself, such as joining a grassroots organization fighting climate change or supporting Black-owned businesses.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Even when you say you don’t care about Valentine’s Day, you secretly do, dear ram. Make sure that your crush or partner knows that; they can’t read your mind. Thanks to help from rational Aquarius and the communication Mercury, that should be no problem, though. February ends with a very erotic transit that lights your bedroom on fire, so let’s hope you saved some energy after Valentine’s Day, hot Aries.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

When February begins, darling Taurus, thanks to big moves from Juno, the asteroid of marriage, you reflect on how much you appreciate stability in your love life. The only problem is that you don’t always express your needs to others. However, when a rare cosmic event occurs later in the month, in conjunction with the start of emotional Pisces season, you’re successfully able to share your feelings (so keep the tissues handy

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Once again, heartbreaker Gemini, the stars are asking you not to lead anyone on this month, especially around Valentine’s Day. However, while the first half of the month sees you trying to please friends and lovers, the second half of February gives you a big, warm, cosmic hug and brings welcome intimacy into all of your relationships. Just double-down on sleep and self-care if anxiety flares up once sensitive Pisces season begins.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Cancer, you’re full of artistic talents, even if you don’t always show them off. So when a bright full moon brings abundance your way mid-month, thanks to your creative efforts, say yes to the check. And, as for romance and Valentine’s Day, despite what an exceptional caretaker you are, why don’t you let someone else do the work this year.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

February kicks off with a new moon that asks you to reflect on boundaries, Leo. Are you holding your own and respecting others? At the risk of calling a majestic lion such as yourself out again, February, and cosmic events which occur precisely on Valentine’s Day, ask you to put aside short-term pleasure for the sake of the long game. That means putting more emotional effort into your current relationships and spending less time creeping on your ex.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Don’t worry about feeling selfish this month; the stars ask you to be. As the healer of the zodiac, you tend to focus on others, especially when holidays such as Valentine’s Day take your attention. But you’re also represented by the hermit card in tarot. It would help if you stepped into your cave once in a while for your mental health. When Mercury squares (a high tension aspect between two planets) the eccentric planet Uranus later in the month, you may find yourself feeling anxious. So, express your needs to others and sleep in as much as you want.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Great news, Libra: Pleasure is a massive theme for you this month, so whether it’s given by your favorite sex toy or your favorite person, expect orgasms galore. But regardless of your relationship status, you need to make alone time this month. Of course, as the sign of partnerships and balance, you always want to connect with others. But to do so, Libra, you need to get in touch with your desires.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Valentine’s Day is a special day for Scorpios because even though it’s during Aquarius season, anyone conceived during this time (yes, that includes you) turns out to be a Scorpio. Lean into the rational influence of air sign Aquarius this month, Scorpio, because you tend to get carried away with your emotions. During February, both in love and money, cooler heads prevail.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

February asks you to grab your bow and arrow, archer because you’re ready for battle. This could mean ending a dead-end relationship or accepting a proposal in a healthy one, but either way, expect a change or two. Either way, it’s for the best because the stars sprinkle your love life with fairy dust just in time for Valentine’s Day. However, there is one catch: You can’t dominate the conversation, Sag. Instead, February asks you to listen.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

You usually think with your head more than your heart, Capricorn, but February sees you tapping into your emotional side, and don’t worry, it’s a good thing. The first half of the month is so buzzy with romance that you may want to catch up on sleep on Valentine’s Day. And, despite your penchant for science, open your mind to psychic messages in dreams during Pisces season later in the month, as they’re coming your way

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

It’s still your season for the first half of the month, Aquarius, including during Valentine’s Day. But, even if you find the holiday a corny co modification of love, your romantic side comes out thanks to the communication Mercury entering your sign, encouraging you to express your feelings. Plus, whether it’s a raise of a proposal, you’re in for an abundant surprise mid-month.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

While the early days of February might leave you feeling slightly lonely, your happiness soars mid-month when you reconnect with friends, perhaps over Valentine’s Day. So not only does the second half of February bring the start of your season, Pisces, but prosperous news for your career is on the way.

Psychic and Mediumship Development Online and Interactive Class.

2020 ! The year of the pandemic start but also the year of awakening intuition and awareness. Do you have premonitions (like knowing who is calling or knowing when something is going to happen)? Do you have premonition dreams (dreams that come true)? Do you have activity in your home (lights going on and off, feeling a presence, etc ) after a loved one has crossed over into spirit? Do you dream of loved ones? This is all NORMAL !

Most frequently, we develop psychic abilities during childhood. We are born open-minded. These abilities are either passed down through close individuals (who, directly or indirectly, teach us this language) or are cultivated in response to environmental conditions.

As children, we notice more, see more, hear more, and feel more — these are basic survival instincts that enable us to safely move through the world. But as we mature, we are told to stop being so sensitive, that ghosts aren’t real, and that pain is always physical.

We suppress our gifts, sneer at “psychics,” and accept the physical realm as the full extent of reality. Let’s talk about the different ways to tune into psychic ability and get comfortable with who you really are !

This is a beginners class in Psychic and Mediumship Development. No experience needed, just the desire to learn and use this course for more self awareness in your own life and to understand WHY you know things before they happen. Beginners class is $15 and 7-9 pm every other Wednesday, online on Microsoft Teams so you don’t have to worry about leaving your house during the pandemic. Text or call me at 716 481 2799 to join.

This week we will be learning about Clairvoyance which is clear seeing or insight) and Clairaudience (intuitive feelings).

TAROT CARD OF THE WEEK: (YEP LATE, THANKS MERCURY RETROGRADE )

Two Of Pentacles

Keywords

UPRIGHT: Multiple priorities, time management, prioritization, adaptability.

REVERSED: Over-committed, disorganization, reprioritization.

Two Of Pentacles Description

In the Two of Pentacles, a young man dances while juggling two coins in his hands. The infinity symbol links the coins, suggesting that this man can handle unlimited problems so long as he manages his time, energy and resources well. In the background, two ships sail the high seas, bobbing up and down on the huge waves – another sign that the ups and downs of life are manageable with focus and attention.

Two Of Pentacles Upright

When the Two of Pentacles appears in a Tarot reading, it’s safe to say you are juggling your priorities, roles and responsibilities. For example, you may be a working parent, a general manager of a business, an administrative assistant in a busy office, or someone who works multiple jobs. In the upright position, this card notes you are doing an excellent job of balancing these different priorities, and you can take on whatever life throws at you; but this Two reminds you that the line between coping with these demands and losing control is thin. You need to manage your time, energy and resources carefully so you do not lose your balance.

The Two of Pentacles often appears when you are busy, rushing from one thing to the next, with little downtime in between. You may tell yourself that you haven‘t got enough time or you’re in a rush. However, remember that you don’t have to be busy to get things done. Sometimes taking a break is the most productive thing you can do. Similarly, the Two of Pentacles can appear when you are getting caught up in the day-to-day demands and losing sight of the bigger picture. If this resonates, ask yourself: What life do I want? And how can I reorganize my schedule to create the life I desire?

The Two of Pentacles invites you to manage your time and your priorities carefully. Your workload is high right now, and to get everything done, you need to stay focused and productive. You may benefit from a ‘to do’ list, better calendar management and a stricter schedule. You may even enlist the support of an assistant or business coach to help you make the right changes. Basic time management is crucial to your ability to juggle these various priorities and keep your head above water. This card also reminds you to pay special attention to your general administration, including paying bills managing finances, staying on top of your commitments and maintaining your diary. Be careful that you do not miss important deadlines, meetings and other obligations.

This card calls your awareness to the concept of balance and those parts of your life where you have it (and those where you don’t). While you can strive for equilibrium, nothing ever stays in perfect harmony. For example, stabilizing your work and family commitments sounds fantastic, but in reality, your family might be more high-priority one week, and work the next. So, when the Two of Pentacles appears in a Tarot reading, see it as a reminder to be patient, flexible and adaptable as you try to juggle your responsibilities with your family, friends, work, finances, health and new challenges. Be ready to swap around activities or accommodate last-minute requests. And know that if you are succeeding in one area of your life, it’s likely you’re struggling in another – that’s just a part of the balancing act!

Two Of Pentacles Reversed

In an inverted position, the Two of Pentacles warns that you are overcommitted and, at times, struggling to maintain your overloaded schedule or stay on top of your bills. Others might not see it yet, but the stress is getting to you and you may even catch yourself dropping the ball. Follow this card’s lesson and get organized. You may need to bring more structure to your responsibilities through budgets, to do lists, forward planning or a diary and effective time management. Turn down opportunities that are no longer in alignment with your goals.

The reversed Two of Pentacles can also be a sign you are over-investing in one area of your life at the expense of others. For example, you may excel in your career, but have little time for your family or your partner, leaving them feeling disconnected and alone. While you may get away with a few late nights at work, there will come a time when enough is enough. Something has to give.

The reversed Two of Pentacles invites you to reassess your priorities and goals and decide where you want to spend your time and energy. Distractions are plenty, and it will take every ounce of your concentration to stay true to your goals. Choose the one thing you need to focus on so you can give it your undivided attention and you will reach success.

Life is not fair, nor is it easy. During your time on earth, you will learn so many life lessons from adversity. And yes, these lessons will prepare you for even more challenges.

At various stages of your life, you will face various challenges. And there will always be life lessons to learn from this adversity. Whether you lose a job, leave a long-term relationship, or grieve the loss of a family member, you’re going to suffer. I sound negative, but I’m just trying to be real with you.

What you can learn from adversity?

Life lessons will sober you up quickly. They will make you do self-inventory and see things from different perspectives. Lessons learned from adversity can even change your life completely. And what are these lessons?.

1. Know yourself

One of the lessons you will learn during and after tough times is who you are. Yes, you know your name, age, where you were born, and who your relatives are, but do you really know you until you suffer? No, you do not. When you go through adversity, you learn your limitation, your selfish levels, and patterns, both negative and positive. After each hardship, you get to know yourself even better.
