Full Moon in the First House
“Hey, what about me?” is the feeling of a Full Moon in the first house. You’re looking for a bit of attention right now as you feel that life has been too “other-oriented” recently. Try to avoid infantile outbursts. Instead, work on your self-assertiveness. You do count, and there are ways to assert your own needs without stepping on others’ toes. Finding a balance between autonomy and dependence is what this Full Moon is about for you. Your emotions are on your sleeve right now. It is a good time to put your needs first, but doing so with respect for others will take you further. Whether you can succeed as a leader is “tested” right now.
Full Moon in the Second House
Intimacy, issues of power and control, or joint finances may have been a focus for the last two weeks. Now it’s time to recognize what makes you comfortable. This Full Moon is about balancing the give and take of intimacy–the giving and receiving of pleasure. Sharing issues come into focus, as do issues of power–what’s yours and what’s mine. Your comfort zones matter, and now is the time to take care of your own needs without eclipsing the needs of others.
Full Moon in the Third House
The last two weeks have found you somewhat restless and in need of more from life than the mundane. Now the mundane is catching up with you. Errands need to be run, people are talking your ear off, you need to do some paperwork and answer calls. An important document could arrive, or a sudden need to run an important errand or to take a short trip could be part of the picture. You are pushed to find a balance now. Do what needs to be done so that you can free yourself up for more adventurous and fulfilling activities.
Full Moon in the Fourth House
The last two weeks have found you working hard towards your career goals and other public matters. The demands of your personal life are now paramount. Striking a balance between energy spent on work and energy spent on domestic matters is essential now. Balanced attention to your public and personal lives is what you need to focus on. It’s time to prioritize. Otherwise, you run the risk of over-extending yourself. A home, family, or property matter could grab your complete attention at this time.
Full Moon in the Fifth House
You want to have fun, and the demands of your larger goals in life may have been eclipsing your pleasure-seeking activities. It can be hard to find time for everything you want to do, but without creative self-expression (be it romantic or playful), you simply won’t feel complete. It’s time to do something self-expressive, fun, and creative. You may be required to complete a creative project at this time. You could feel an overwhelming need to pour your heart out to a lover, or a romantic affair reaches some sort of epiphany. There could be a whirlwind of activity surrounding your child or children.
Full Moon in the Sixth House
You look in the mirror and say, “That’s it! I’m starting that exercise program”. You crush out a cigarette with disgust and decide to quit smoking. You throw up your arms and say that you can’t take how your boss has been treating you. These are just some examples of a Full Moon transiting your sixth house. If it activates other personal planets, or if it’s an eclipse, the more intense or dramatic your proclamations will be. Of course, you don’t necessarily need to burst forth with emotional declarations, especially if you plan in advance. Avoid blaming others for your own state of discontent if that’s how you are feeling right now. You can use this surge of emotional energy to make positive changes to your routines. Do something to improve your work conditions if they are annoying you–even if it’s a small act of kindness with a co-worker or bringing in something to brighten up your desk or office. Get going on your exercise or nutrition program that you’ve been toying with in your mind. This may also be a time when a work project comes to fruition or completion.
Full Moon in the Seventh House
The New Moon was all about you. Now it’s time to strike a balance with an “other”. The seventh house represents an important one-to-one relationship–a marriage partner, significant other, business partner, or an adversary. It’s time to strike a balance between your own needs and those of another. It’s time to compromise and negotiate. Partnership “tests” are possible now, but so is a chance to truly connect to a special someone in your life.
Full Moon in the Eighth House
This Full Moon is all about give and take. What makes you feel comfortable and secure needs to be balanced with attention to other people’s needs and comfort levels. It’s a good time to settle some of your debts, financial or otherwise. You may be in a position wherein you are forced to make a financial settlement or large outlay of cash; or, you may find that you are leaned upon for support, financial or otherwise.
Full Moon in the Ninth House
Your attention to the logical world of reason has been a focus in the last two weeks. Now you feel a crisis of lack. Your personal beliefs may be tested now. Your impulses and faith matter, and all of the attention you’ve been giving to mundane affairs has you wondering when you’re going to have some fun. You want to take a leap of faith now. Your adventurous side pushes up and out, demanding attention.
Full Moon in the Tenth House
You are suddenly in the limelight–everyone notices you now. It’s time to put your best foot forward, but be sure to do so with grace and consideration for others, or you may just make a display that you regret later. Perhaps you’ve been hiding yourself away, taking it easy. Now you need a little attention, and career matters come to a head. You’re called to perform, perhaps on a moment’s notice, and it’s best to keep your cool and do whatever you can to show your competence. A sudden job opportunity, or some form of assistance with regards to career, home, or property matters, could be part of the picture. This can also produce an event that requires you to take charge and show your responsible side.
Full Moon in the Eleventh House
You’ve been focusing on what brings you pleasure your hobbies, romantic activities, and so forth. Now you realize that the role you play in others’ lives (as a spouse, parent, friend) is an important element in your overall happiness. You’re looking for validation from friends and group activities now. You may be called upon to perform a humanitarian gesture. For example, a friend may experience a little crisis and asks for your help. You may suddenly find yourself around many people, perhaps after a period of relative solitude or private time.
Full Moon in the Twelfth House
Circumstances are such that you have an overwhelming need to be alone. You’ve been busy with all sorts of everyday activities, deeply involved in your work and routines. It’s time to balance your life with some down time otherwise, you simply don’t feel whole. Issues come to light that originate from deep within. It’s an excellent time to get in touch with what’s been brewing beneath the surface. A secret or private matter may be revealed, a health matter could come to light, or a work project can reach culmination.
This Full Moon occurs around the time of a Mercury-Uranus alignment, adding to the elements of surprise and revelation.
The Sun is in Taurus; Mercury is in Aries; Venus is in Aries; Mars is in Gemini.
The Sun is in Taurus from April 19-May 20. In Taurus, the Sun is methodical, sensual, and receptive. The Sun in Taurus is most active when it is defending or resisting things! As the Sun moves through Taurus when plants take root, our determination and security needs are strong. Taurus is loyal to all that is familiar, and values longevity. The shadow side of Taurus is possessiveness and bullheadedness.

On Wednesday, the Sun in Taurus opposes the Moon in Scorpio. The Taurus-Scorpio polarity deals with the balance between all that is mine (Taurus) and all that is yours (Scorpio). It also emphasizes the concept of form (Taurus) versus transformation (Scorpio). While Taurus deals with matter, personal values, material goods, possessions, and security, Scorpio rules the destruction of form, shared possessions, change, and transformation. The Sun in Taurus encourages happiness with the simple, tangible things in life, while the Scorpio Moon draws our attention to complexities, intangibles, and mysteries. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do.

This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of an intimate nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings — we need to express them. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between collecting and sharing.

With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as emotions burst forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves, and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet. Full Moons are about exposing or illuminating issues that are already there, but that have not yet been dealt with. Where does the Full Moon fall by house in your natal chart?
