Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on January 10th in the sign of Cancer.
The theme of the month is spiritual awakening and this is kickstarted with a potent Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on January 10th in the sign of Cancer. We also welcome the Capricorn stellium! It’s been in play for the last month with Jupiter moving into Capricorn, joining Saturn and Pluto (who officially conjunct on the 12th), and we’ve had a stellium of the Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Capricorn and a Capricorn solar eclipse. It’s been busy, already!
A stellium occurs when 3 or more planets come together in one sign. This one occurs in Capricorn, which naturally rules our goals and life path. Capricorn is a professional ruler, governing our careers, so a lot of the focus for this stellium has been on that. So relationships they can be impacted too!
With Capricorn ruling our goals, relationship goals can be a focus. Now, you can’t just be like, my goal is to get married and have twins in the next 2 months! It needs to be realistic, because Capricorn is very realistic. Capricorn won’t put up with unrealistic goals. That’s one of the times when you experience miserable failure. Remember that Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. So perhaps your relationship goals should focus more on a logical next step from where you are now.
Capricorn is big on commitment and adulting, so taking next steps that further your commitment in existing relationships is great for this energy! But, not recklessly or irresponsibly – if you’ve been dating for 2 weeks, getting married might not be great! But if you’ve been dating for a while, moving in together or getting engaged or married can make perfect sense. In fact, if you’ve been together a while and haven’t taken the next step, you may be forced to confront why that is.
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, who wants things done the right way for the right reasons. Sticking around in a relationship that isn’t working and doing nothing about it? Not pleasing Saturn! So if you are going to stick around, you have to put in the work (and warning, there may be a lot lot lot of it, BUT if you can survive it, then the relationship may last a long time more). But if it’s not salvageable, admit reality and move on.
You may have noticed that Cancer missed out on a Full Moon in 2019, which means that this Eclipse is not going to go by unnoticed! Cancerian energy will be strong and waves of emotionally charged energy will be on offer in order to inspire us to release, shed, and let go.
This Lunar Eclipse is also connected to the Eclipses we had back in July of 2019 so themes from this time may come back up or we may receive more insights or closure. Eclipses are important points in the year as they are believed to bring events aligned with our soul path or soul destiny. AND DON’T FORGET THAT SOMETIMES ECLIPSE WILL ECLIPSE SOMETHING OUT OF YOUR LIFE YOU NO LONGER NEED.!
On a Lunar Eclipse, the Universe opens a portal of energy that allows it to swoop in and release something for us that we weren’t quite ready to let go of in order to keep us moving forward and accelerating higher. While Eclipses advance our soul journey, our human selves are often left to play catch up which is why they can sometimes be a jarring experience.
All of us will feel the Cancer Lunar Eclipse energies differently, but this will be a heightened time where we will all feel called to release and let go of something.
Following this potent Eclipse, on January 12th we have the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in the sign of Capricorn which is opposite Cancer. This cosmic alignment is extremely rare and carries life-changing, transformative energy that will play a role in shaping the entire year. In fact, the alignment of Saturn and Pluto is one of the most significant cosmic energies we will experience in our lifetime! Saturn rules hard work, restrictions and karma. Pluto rules Scorpio with its province being death and rebirth. … Pluto also governs power itself, including struggles between people and countries for domination, and of course, personal power. It shows up when perfectly capable people end up under the thumb of someone else’s control
Saturn and Pluto aligning so close to the Eclipse does create a little heaviness and it is likely that whatever we are called to release is going to really shift and transform us in almost a life-changing way. While these power days happen almost back to back, they tend to affect us on a subconscious level first, so we may have to be patient and watch to see what happens. In fact, it may not be till the end of the year that we will really be able to make sense of what seeds and transformations were planted in this very special month of January.
