Happy Full Moon ( or maybe NOT ?) In Aries ! Read about Aries but don’t forget about Libra. Live to fight a better day maybe? Why? Read on about THIS full moon, it’s a doozie ! Read about Aries but don’t forget about Libra.
The FULL MOON occurs on Thursday, October 5, 2017 @ 2:40 PM EDT.
On Thursday night, the Full Moon occurs in the sign of Aries. The Aries-Libra polarity is a relationship axis, where Aries represents “self” and Libra represents “other”. Where Aries is about self-assertion, Libra is about compromise. The energy of the Libra Sun is the awareness of the need for relationships and all that comes with maintaining them–compromising, negotiating, graciousness, and balancing. The Aries Moon, on the other hand, is self-assertive, leading, and personally courageous.
This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and tending to the needs of a significant other, and between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability. The Libra Sun is diplomatic, equality-minded, and fair-minded. The Aries Moon, however, values authenticity over tact and is energized by independent efforts. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict. Neglecting either end of the Aries-Libra axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do. This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of a personal nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them. The Full Moon illuminates the conflict between “me” and “you”, and between autonomy and sharing. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet. With the Full Moon forming a square to Pluto and the Sun aligned with Mercury, there can be intense realizations now.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 12 degrees and 43 minutes of Aries forming an opposition with the Sun at 12 degrees and 43 minutes of Libra, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 9 to 17 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.
Aggression is everywhere ! The country is divided, friends who have NEVER had trouble with other friends are now saying adios ! Traffic is crazy, tempers are short and the full moon is in the sign of Aries.
Who is Aries? Aries, the first sign of the zodiac can actually be the infant who cannot see anything beyond themselves. To them they came first and since they did that, the world should revolve around them. Aries Zodiac sign which is symbolized by Rams are extremely egoistic, adventurous, ambitious yet concerned and loyal people. They are absolute path-breakers and pioneers by their thought and action.
They are the ones who can be safely called Born Leaders. But much as they lead from the front and are loyal, there would be some incident through which it would become very difficult to know the Aries as they truly are, in their true light. They are people who are nothing but not straight forward, and that is why the charging Ram is what they are symbolized by. Being brutally blunt and inborn leaders, they often land into problems also, having lunged into something without having taken the pros and cons in question. The weakness of the Aries is also often their strength; and that is their spontaneous reaction. Aries belongs to the Fire sign and also has the warmth of fire. It is also their unpredictability which makes them appear impulsive and fiery.
And guess what? The sign of Aries is ruled by the planet Mars.
A negative Mars firstly makes a person prone to accidents and injury. Mars that is malefic makes one have an angry temperament and the high energy that the person has, turns into frustration and dissatisfaction. The assertiveness from an otherwise positive mars, turns into uncontrolled or poorly controlled, aggression. This can mean that the person does not think before they speak and loses respect from people, or a reputation of being a loud mouth. A badly placed mars causes moodiness and the person can be perfectly fine one day and then totally opposite the next. They have a quick temper but can calm down very quickly too if the right things are said. Therefore it can be said that they are sensitive people even though externally they will portray a tough wall. If their Mars is with Moon, then they are hyper sensitive and very easily annoyed, and may have a nagging personality. Mars is the planet of action and getting things done and can therefore give massive amounts of energy and ambition when placed favorably. It makes a person bold and confident of themselves, and also denotes courage in a chart.
When Mars is placed favorably in a chart, it gives stamina, vitality and confidence in ones own self. It makes them achieve their goals because they have a plan that they stick to and put efforts into. A good Mars gives the person a flair for persuading people about their own point and getting them to do things their way- this can also be called good manipulation abilities. They are also good at math and applying logic to things, hence accountants and doctors/scientists have well placed Mars in their charts. Mars also takes a person into sports, and you may see that children with prominent mars in their horoscopes often love physical education and competitive sports as this is a channel for their abundant energy. Positive Mars gives the person the ability to heal quickly from illness and wounds and they have a strong healthy immune system subject to the placement of Jupiter.
And guess what? It’s a Aries/Libra polarity kind of situation.
Who is Libra? Libra born people are the best when it comes to the handling of difficult and awkward situations. They manage such situations with extreme grace and poise. They have a fetish for trying to be fair in any situations and try to establish peace in the face of difficulties.
They are the most balanced, easy going and attractive people of the zodiac and exercises their critical mental faculty; and are also sensitive to others people.
The very same positive traits of the Libra tend to turn negative when things get out of hand. For example, due to being of the air sign and trying to balance everything and please everyone; these people often tend to be extremely indecisive. They will just not be able to make up their minds.
These are also people who are self indulging and a little selfish. When it comes to encouraging themselves, they have no sense of propriety or timing.
They actually have the toughest time when they need to make a decision and tend to cling to everything that they had for comfort.
And guess what? The sign Libra is ruled by the planet Venus.
Venus is all about pleasure, especially pleasure shared with someone else. This planet concerns itself with love, romance and harmony in our emotional attachments, marriages, friendships and other unions (like business partnerships). Venus is content to spread happiness and tenderness, all the while teaching us how to love and appreciate others and the things that we possess.
We appear attractive — and we attract others — thanks to Venus’s energy. Socializing with and relating to others are important to this planet.
Beauty is also strongly associated with Venus. The arts (music, dance, drama and literature, to name a few) and a sense of the aesthetic fall within the realm of Venus. Venus beseeches us to indulge our senses and revel in the beauty of our world. This planet is inextricably linked to refinement, culture, charm and grace.
Venus also deals with the pleasure we derive from our possessions. Luxuries (jewelry, paintings, expensive cars), good food and drink, a beautiful home and a sense of refinement all please Venus’s interests. This planet asks us to appreciate the exquisite nature of things. It’s a sensual — though not necessarily sexual — world as far as Venus is concerned.
